Hello, I’m Otis!I was born and raised in the greater New Orleans area, Louisiana. I’m a senior at Illinois Wesleyan, expected BA in Physics and Studio Art in April 2026.
I draw because I want to find meaning and joy in things, even if they are dark, monotonous, every-day boring, overlooked, forgotten, or meaningless. There is no reasoning to a lot of social constructs, and so I find no issue with applying fantastical contexts to seemingly unrelated things. I love painting and drawing with vibrant color, intricate line-work. I strive to use details that give life, curiosity, mystery, and interest to a piece, in order to build a story and world <3

Garbage Boy is an ongoing project of mine, initially motivated by the short film I created with my friends in 2022. I’ve been expanding the universe since, with the intention of eventually creating something bigger that encapsulates a silly, surreal, and joyful experience <3

I was the director, editor, animator, and co-writer of the short film 'Garbage Boy," using the programs Adobe Premiere Pro and Procreate for editing and animating.
The film won the Film Prize Jr. Grand Prize Judges Choice Award for Best Short Film in 2022! :D
